Abstract

Academic Journals are a vital platform for academic research exchange, an important forum for the dissemination of ideas and culture, as well as a significant force in the promotion of theoretical innovation and scientific and technological advancement. In the context of “double first-class” construction and the cultivation of world-class scientific journals, academic journals in colleges and universities bear a significant burden. The supervisor currently sponsors or co-sponsors more than 70 academic journals at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The Salon report begins with the evolution of academic journals and the focuses on the development of academic journals at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In addition, it provides a brief overview of the current construction and evaluation system of academic journals, along with the national policies regarding paper publication. Lastly, Professor Cai will share how to choose journals specifically and pointedly for paper submission and publication, as well as the introduction and review process of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s pertinent journals.

Bio

Yunze Cai is a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor of Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the deputy director of the Journal Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is also the executive editor-in-chief of the Chinese and English versions of the Journal of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the editor-in-chief of Ocean Engineering Equipment and Technology.

She serves as an expert member of Chinese Association of Automation, a member of Information Fusion of Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a member of Professional Committee of Intelligent Robot of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. Her current research areas involve the application of autonomous situation awareness and intelligent decision-making. She has published extensively in these areas, including 80 academic papers and 8 patents.

She has won some honorary titles, including “Women’s Meritorious Pacesetter in Shanghai Education System”, “First Prize of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Management Service Award”, “Teaching Rookie” of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, “Second Prize of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s SMC Chenxing Youth Scholars Award Program”, Advanced Individual of “Sanyuren” and Distinguished Teacher of Shanghai Jiao Tong Universality. Moreover, she is a member of the Chinese Association of Automation’s (CAA) expert database, as well as a committee member of CAA’s Youth Working Committee, the Information Fusion Branch of Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
