The Classical Maxwell’s theory is the basic theory for analyzing various electromagnetic phenomena and manipulating electromagnetic fields. The Einstein’s theory of special relativity is one of the two cornerstones of modern physics. The researches on the electromagnetic problems concerning with moving objects and moving media have played a critical role in the development of the theory of special relativity. This talk addresses one of the basic issues and briefly introduces the field solutions of the moving electron in the vacuum. In particular, a new interpretation to the behavior of the far fields is provided, based on which the anisotropic property of the wave velocity and the transverse Doppler effect are shown to be intrinsically included in the classical solutions. Some typical electromagnetic phenomena can be properly explained with the classical electromagnetic theory instead of the theory of special relativity. It has to be noted that discrepancies may always exist between different theories, which is perhaps very important for the development of science, and worth to be comprehensively and innovatively investigated.
