Abstract

Contemporary neuroscience and moral psychology experiments seem to reveal insights about moral intuition, and are even expected to subvert the descriptive and even normative claims of human morality in philosophical tradition. In this lecture, I will try to show how the contemporary dialogue between neuroscience and philosophy revolves around specific topics-such as moral reasoning, free will and other issues-and unfolds themselves in a concrete manner, with the hope of revealing new directions for the interdisciplinary research regarding philosophy and neuroscience.
