DNA molecules serve as the primary information carriers in the natural world. Through information processing based on DNA, living organisms have developed complex functions such as movement, cognition, and learning; and through DNA storage, every species has been able to propagate to the present day. This efficient information processing model has also inspired the development of artificial DNA computing and data storage systems. Here, we will explore together how to use artificially synthesized DNA molecules to construct liquid computers and storage devices with computational and storage capabilities.
