The report will start with the movie "Oppenheimer." By exploring why Oppenheimer was conflicted, it will reflect on the dual nature of modern technology and the moral responsibilities of scientists.


Guoyu Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Philosophy, Fudan University. She is also Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars of Ministry of Education. Director of Institute of Ethics of Science and Technology for Human Future, CAST – FDU. She serves as the chairwoman of the National Graduate Education Steering Committee of Applied Ethics, the member of the Medical Ethics Sub-committee of the National Science and Technology Ethics Committee, and the deputy director of the Ethics Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology.
