On April 10, 2021, 'SJTU&SCIENCE 125 scientific questions Release and Future Science Forum' was held in Ruiqiu Chen Building, Minhang Campus, Shanghai JiaoTong University. At the press conference, 10 contributors to the scientific problems from Shanghai Jiao Tong University were presented with commemorative certificates. Among the awardees, Zhiyuan Chemistry student Yue Wu, was the only undergraduate representative who contributed to the question "Will the Periodic Table of the Elements be complete". His contributions are included in the final selected 125 scientific questions (https://www.sciencemag.org/collections/125-questions-exploration-and-discovery). Xiaoying Chu, Director of International Cooperation, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and Zhongqin Lin, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University presented the awards for the major contributors.
In 2020, Zhiyuan College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University celebrated the 125th anniversary of its establishment, which is also the year for the launch and promotion of the ‘Pilot Program 2.0’. At the 125th anniversary of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the solicitation of the 125 scientific questions by SJTU&SCIENCE, Zhiyuan Innovation Research Center took the opportunity to launch the solicitation of 10 scientific questions. After the release of the collection, Zhiyuan students and alumni participated positively. In the end, Zhiyuan College submitted 8 scientific questions to the committee. Apart from the participation and contribution of Yue Wu, Zhiyuan alumni Hengrui Zhang contributed to the question of “demand-oriented material design” （http://xuebao.sjtu.edu.cn/CN/10.16183/j.cnki.jsjtu.2021.S1.001）, and Zhiyuan Chemistry student Lingyun Li contributed to the questions of “Can seawater desalination be simulated by active transport on the cell membrane” （http://xuebao.sjtu.edu.cn/CN/10.16183/j.cnki.jsjtu.2021.S1.005）, and their publications are also included in the 125th SJTU Anniversary Special Issue for Scientific Questions.
