January 14-15, 2023, The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Regional Competition of International College Student Programming Competition ended in Hong Kong. The Liu team, composed of Wang Zhaozi, Ye Yaoqi, and Jiang Tianle from Computer Science Direction (ACM Class) of Zhiyuan College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, won the championship.
Organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the ICPC Asia Regional Competition (Hong Kong) attracted a total of 127 teams from universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University. Teams of three are required to complete 12 questions in a five-hour period using only one computer. Teams are ranked based on the number of questions they pass and the total time they spend.
The time of this match was a little special. The three players had just finished their final exams and had arrived at school for the first training in a month the day before the match. After the training, Wang Zhaozi, the team leader, encouraged encouraged everyone: "We have high potential to win the championship this time", which made the players more confident. All three members of the team were in good conditions during the competition, and completed the five-hour competition in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. In the last 20 minutes, they passed two questions in a row to win the champion.
