In order to guide students in learning the scientific spirit of "patriotism, innovation, pragmatism, dedication, collaboration and education", and to inspire them to use their professional knowledge to solve the country's "bottleneck" problems, Zhiyuan delegation visits Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and participates in academic exchange activities on September 10, 2025. on September 10, 2025. Professor He Feng, the Executive Deputy Dean of Zhiyuan College, Lin Xiujuan, the Director of the office of student affairs, and the head and representative researchers of the AI for Science Center of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory attended the event.

Bai Lei, the Director of the AI for Science Center, first introduced the basic situation of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, and further introducaed the research direction of general artificial intelligence that the laboratory is currently engaged in and the scientific research institutions it cooperates with across the country, and made prospects for the future development stage of artificial intelligence.

Subsequently, Zhang Bo and Zhou Dongzhan, young scientists from the AI for Science Center, delivered academic reports to share the cutting-edge technologies respectively. They pointed out the multi-disciplinary characteristics of laboratory research and proposed new thoughts on the research of basic disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences from the perspective of artificial intelligence.

Huang Siyuan and Zhao Jiatong, senior students who participated in the summer internship program at the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, shared the laboratory's cutting-edge research directions, abundant research resources and convenient living conditions with the Zhiyuan delegation. They encouraged Zhiyuan peers to participate summer research of short-term internship programs at the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in the future to learn research skills and broaden their academic horizons, and enhance research capabilities.

During the subsequent symposium and exchange, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on the cross-integration of artificial intelligence with basic disciplines such as Physics and Life Sciences, as well as cooperation in talent cultivation, with the aim of providing more opportunities for Zhiyuan students to participate in cutting-edge artificial intelligence researches and engineering practices, and to promote the innovation of cross-disciplinary talent cultivation models, so that to promote the broader and deeper integration and development of artificial intelligence technology with basic disciplines.
